    The photograph was taken in the old village hall at Burnham Market. In or around 1948. Mr Starling and his daughter Anita, who lived in Heacham ran an Old Time Dancing class in the old hall at Burnham Market. Anita is the 8th from the left in row 4, Mr Starling took the photograph.

    Is this really Stanhoe School? It is certainly a typical school, but all the details of the building and the fence are wrong for Stanhoe as are the trees. If it is our village, it must be a very old photo as there is no mention in the school records of such a re-build in the last 100 years. Intereting.

  • Cloves Cottage, Bircham Road, 1993. Cloves Cottage was built in 1987 on the site of the old WI hut.

    Richard Calver's son Peter Calver has now seen this photo and concurs with my view that first row boy extreme right is Richard Calver.
