This was later than 1901, My grandfather was born 29/08/1899. He looks about seven or eight in the photograph I would say, so about 1hph906?

This is not who you say. It is John Linge's wife Laura (old John Linge's son), neé Allen, with her son Percy and daughter Margery. John and Laura lived in Lee, then Kent, but now SE London. Laura was born in Hendon in 1872
Percy was born in Lee in 1899, and was my grandfather. Margery was several years younger tham Percy. Jojn the younger died of cancer pre WW2 but Laura at the age of 93, and I remember her well, and can be instsntly recognised from the photograph. Unfortunately my late father destroyed all my grandparents photographs when they died.
John I gather had a disagreemet with his father and left Stanhoe, never to return, but Laura, being the dutiful daughter-in-law, used to take Percy and Margery to Stanhoe every summer pre WW1 to visit their grandparents, by train, from Lee. My grandfather (when he learned of my devotion to Our Lady of Walsingham, and that i am still a frequent visitor to that village) told me many tales of his journeys by horse and trap to Fakenham Market, and apparently the horse knew the way!

Mrs Tuck was also the post office mistress. The Post Office was attached to the Railway Station. Mr Tuck was nominally the station and post office master, but had a job elsewhere as well.

This is a photo of Bircham Newton aerodrome taken when it was being extended prior to WW2. Tim Pygall worked there before he joined the RAF. When Tim Pygall signed up it was a Bircham Newton aerodrome. Tim is in the middle of two other workers.
