Hi Carol - Lovely to hear from you! Do keep in contact with us - I know that Geraldine has been in touch. That Race for Life walk was great - and seems a very long time ago!
I shall certainly pass on your good wishes to WI members, and I'm sure they will be reciprocated.
    Love, Pamela x

Thank you Cecil. I've corrected the spelling. I also added an extra "?" in the back row (we had mis-counted), but it may not be in the right position.

Good to hear from you Carol. You are not forgotten. We hope to have some more WI photos uploaded before too long so you can see what we have been up to.

It is over 2years now since I left my Stanhoe friends behind. Looking through the archive photos bring back happy memories of all the friends I made.

This particular event was a 'walk' and I must admit only a few jogs materialised within this happy band.

Such good memories, love to all within our happy band.

Hello Jean Hubbard – I met a young lady when on my Uncle Harry’s farm while working there in August 1964. She was Lorna Hubbard, living near or at Friar’s Thorn. Any relation? I have a knack of remembering dates, and her birthday was 7 February – a date which came up again in 1971 when I passed my car driving test. 50 years later I still remember her as we take trips once a year along the Docking to Burnham Road.

The photograph was taken from Bircham Road and the cottage is situated behind the bungalow built by Pauline and I and named Arline in 1959. It was occupied by Mrs Wright (the postwoman) till her death in approx. 1960.

The bungalow can be seen on the extreme right of the picture.
